About the Role

As a Software Engineering Fellow, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technological direction of our company. This is a highly prestigious position reserved for individuals with exceptional technical expertise, leadership skills, and a track record of innovative contributions to the field of software engineering. You will work closely with our engineering teams, executive leadership, and external partners to drive innovation, mentor junior engineers, and ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and implementation of complex software systems that meet the strategic objectives of the company.
  • Act as a technical advisor to the CTO and other senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations on emerging technologies, architectural decisions, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the alignment of technical strategies with business goals.
  • Drive innovation by exploring new technologies, conducting research, and prototyping new ideas.
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
  • Contribute to the development of technical standards, guidelines, and processes to enhance the quality and efficiency of the engineering organization.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, technical forums, and other public events, sharing knowledge and promoting our technical achievements.
  • Play a key role in the technical due diligence process for potential mergers and acquisitions, evaluating the technology stack, architecture, and engineering practices of target companies.
  • Provide technical expertise in the integration of acquired companies’ technologies and systems into the existing infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with the M&A team to identify potential synergies and opportunities for innovation resulting from acquisitions.
  • Ensure a smooth transition and alignment of engineering teams and practices post-acquisition.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in software engineering, with a proven track record of delivering complex software projects.
  • Deep expertise in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++, etc.) and software development methodologies.
  • Strong experience in software architecture and design, with the ability to make high-level technical decisions.
  • Excellent leadership and mentoring skills, with a passion for developing the technical skills of others.
  • A strong understanding of current and emerging technologies, with the ability to evaluate their potential impact on the business.
  • Experience in M&A activities, particularly in technical due diligence and integration processes.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A Ph.D. is highly desirable.
