About the Role
As a Software Engineering Fellow, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the technological direction of our company. Responsibilities
- Lead the design and implementation of complex software systems that meet the strategic objectives of the company.
- Act as a technical advisor to the CTO and other senior leadership, providing insights and recommendations on emerging technologies, architectural decisions, and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the alignment of technical strategies with business goals.
- Drive innovation by exploring new technologies, conducting research, and prototyping new ideas.
- Mentor and coach junior engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.
- Contribute to the development of technical standards, guidelines, and processes to enhance the quality and efficiency of the engineering organization.
- Represent the company at industry conferences, technical forums, and other public events, sharing knowledge and promoting our technical achievements.
- Play a key role in the technical due diligence process for potential mergers and acquisitions, evaluating the technology stack, architecture, and engineering practices of target companies.
- Provide technical expertise in the integration of acquired companies’ technologies and systems into the existing infrastructure.
- Collaborate with the M&A team to identify potential synergies and opportunities for innovation resulting from acquisitions.
- Ensure a smooth transition and alignment of engineering teams and practices post-acquisition.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in software engineering, with a proven track record of delivering complex software projects.
- Deep expertise in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, C++, etc.) and software development methodologies.
- Strong experience in software architecture and design, with the ability to make high-level technical decisions.
- Excellent leadership and mentoring skills, with a passion for developing the technical skills of others.
- A strong understanding of current and emerging technologies, with the ability to evaluate their potential impact on the business.
- Experience in M&A activities, particularly in technical due diligence and integration processes.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. A Ph.D. is highly desirable.
